Settlement - Quick update

Hi All,

Apologies for the lack of updates. It's been a crazy week. The good news is we now have ownership of the house :)

That's not to say that all the issues have been rectified. We are still missing a toilet in the en-suite but that's a whole other story.

Electrician was on-site the next day to do down lights, alarm, pendants etc... Here are some photos:

Will post some more photos up once we have flooring done.

PCI Completed - Hand over delayed...

Today was our scheduled PCI date. We got up nice and early for an 8 AM start and went in with some Croissants :)

Getting on-site we were surprised to see that Darren from Darbecca and our SS were already on-site ready to go!

In general, all went quite smoothly. The SS was quite open to any issues we had and touch-ups that we wanted marked. He pretty much let us go nuts with the stickers... Don't ask how many we used!

Comments from our independent included: Great brick work, one of the best roof insulation jobs he has seen and unfortunately... a very average paint job. I agree with him on all points.

Pretty much 90% of our door and window architraves are showing the nails used to fix them and are so obvious in any light. Fortunately, PD have agreed to sand them all back and re-paint.

Out of respect for our SS and PD I will not share the more serious items (only 2) raised by our independent. They have agreed to rectify them of course.

Finally, we only managed to snap up a few photos for family more than anything but will share below. The red dots are ours.

PCI getting close...Final touches

Hi all,

Our PCI is still going ahead on Tuesday and it's good to see that final works/touch ups are being completed.

Shower screens have been installed and remaining tiling/grouting items we're being completed as I was there.

Also, one of our neighbours at the back has a put a fence up. This was a bit of shock considering they signed the agreement for us to install it. We're not really fussed as the outcome will be the same and it's great to see how much backyard we actually have left.

Lastly, our Certificate of Occupancy (COO) inspection is booked in for today. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Cheers!

Bath tub fixed

Bath tub has been fixed and re-tiled yesterday. Tiler will be back today to re-grout and will be shortly followed by plumber to fit off the remaining items.

Not much left to do on-site. Was lucky enough to meet up with our SS two days in a row over my lunch break and do a quick sweep of the house for any outstanding items.

I must say I really appreciated the SS taking time again to go through the house with me. Makes me much more confident that Tuesday's PCI will go quite smoothly. BSS quality inspection is booked in for tomorrow so hopefully they pick up some of the items I spotted throughout my walk through the past two days.
