Garage rear roller door

Our rear garage roller door was finally installed yesterday.

Apparently the installer had been on-site about 4 times before he managed to get it in. Something to do with mounting surface.

Not sure I'm happy about how it's been installed but will have a closer look and discuss with the SS when I see him next.

Basically they have bolted through the plaster into the brick.

Progress update!

Hi all,

Apologies for the lack of updates. I'm currently on a business trip and won't be back for 3 weeks so I haven't been able to visit the site.

Fortunately, my lovely Fiancé sent me some photos this morning and I can't believe how much work has been completed in just one week!

The house was locked up. Apparently they've had a lot of theft in the are the last few weeks which is a real shame!

SS has pretty much attended to all the issues we have raised which includes the kitchen island. It has now been moved to the correct location... woo!

Anyway, some photos to share.

Garage Door installed.

Some photos of the house

Render has been done. Not painted yet.

Down pipe in wrong location has been moved.

Internal custom doors have been installed.

Sliders installed

Bath tub and showers 'water proofed'

Tiles for laundry and bathrooms delivered

Good news! Kitchen Island has been moved as requested.

Some framing added to NBN box.

Yet another surprise! Hopefully not too serious...

After reviewing our floor levels today I noticed that Porter Davis has reduced the total house level by 200 mm between our contract and final construction drawings. We missed this when we were checking our construction drawings. We were also not informed of this change at any point!

Here is a comparison of the two drawings. Hoping to have an answer for this first thing tomorrow morning.

First Dilemma...

So, during our Tender appointment we were given a house siting drawing to sign. We pointed out that the crossover was not aligned with our garage. The feedback was that we could ask the developer to relocate the cross over or we would be forced to move the house. I got the engineering document for our block and it seems that all the other blocks are in the same boat with having the cross over as far to the edge of the block as possible.

We really didn't want to move the house any further North as we would be loosing space on the alfresco side and be gaining space on the 'dead' side.

Now we are waiting for a response from the Developer regarding the feasibility to relocate the crossover.
