Bricks Washed

Hi All,

Our bricks were washed last week and I finally managed to take some photos of the whole house today. I couldn't be happier with the quality of workmanship applied to our bricks.

There are only a few spots that I think need touch-ups but I am just being the picky customer that I am!

Here they are.

Here are the parts that I am being super picky with! Please note that PD have not yet 'Quality Inspected' the brickwork so this is just purely myself going over the brickwork with a fine tooth comb.

Slight zig/zag affect in alfresco and front corners.

Brick angles installed

As you all know we had a few brick overhanging issues.

I refused to pay any invoices until they were resolved as I have seen how long these issues can drag out once invoices are paid.

PD have opted to install so brick angles which are basically long L steel brackets that bolt into the slab.

The areas of concern were LHS portico pillar, alfresco pillar, rear right corner of the alfresco and the boundary wall of the garage. I am pretty happy with all the repairs except for the corner of the alfresco bricks.

Not sure if I am happy with the next 3 photos. I will let the independent inspector look over this and advise what he thinks.

Brick Work - Progressing

Hi all,

Few photos I managed to 'snap-up' this morning. Brick work is getting there with one half of the house almost complete. The quality is great IMHO.

It's going slow but I am happy to sacrifice time for quality.

Bricks delivered with an added bonus...

During our visit to our site today we were delighted to see that our bricks had been delivered.

Unfortunately, the delivery team managed to damage two of our storm water pipes. I saw the first one which looked liked this.

This prompted me to check all the other pipes and unfortunately one has been crushed at the base.

It's quite frustrating that we now need to fix this due to somebody else's lack of care. Not to worry at least we picked it up.
