Concrete Work planning

Had a family friend who is a concreter meet me out on site yesterday to advise/quote for the work that we want completed.

Basically, we will be doing exposed aggregate to the driveway and pathway to the front door and the rest which is the 1m concrete apron around the house will be coloured concrete. All 100 mm thick.

He suggested we mark out what we wanted done to measure and quote and we did. Here is my VERY rough paint work :P

    Hi. I have been following your blog with enthusiasm as we are also building the Dunedin 29. Can I ask how much your concreting quote was? We will be doing something similar so would love a rough idea of cost. Thanks! Elisha

      Hi Elisha,

      Awesome.

      Driveway and pathway worked out to be about 40sqm. Exposed aggregate will be $110/sqm so about $4,000.

      Too easy. That's just for the front though. The rest of the house will be another 3k ish for colour concrete.

      Maybe if it was coloured concrete yes. But exposed aggregate is expensive.
